Concept & Development

From Fractals to Framework - Designing the Pattern of Possibility

This office design for Fractured Atlas is a dynamic visual metaphor for their mission of empowering artists. At its heart is the triangle, drawn from the organization’s logo, a form celebrated for its inherent stability and strength. Like artists building meaning from fragments, the triangle is repeated, reflected, and scaled to form intricate fractals that grow across the space in both organic and architectural patterns.

These forms guide the layout, with modular desks in triangular clusters to encourage collaboration, while ceiling and wall patterns expand - like artists with the support of Fractured Atlas. Light filters through the space and refracts across angular surfaces, giving a sense of warmth and energy. Natural materials and neutral tones balance pops of color and texture that spark curiosity and delight. The space becomes a living system of support and transformation - an architectural expression of Fractured Atlas’ core values.

The ides of transformation and community were the driving forces of this design from the very beginning. Including an event space in this office was very important to allow clients to feel this same sense of community and support. The transformation hallway allwows visitors to have a sensual experience similar to the artistic clients of the company.
